Jane Reisman is president of Organizational Research Services, a Seattle-based
planning and evaluation firm, and founder of The Evaluation Forum, a company
that provides training, consultation and publications to help organizations
develop successful outcome-based measurement systems. In these roles, she regularly
guides programs through the implementation of practical and effective outcome
measurement plans and conducts training workshops on outcome-based measurement.
She further assists grantmakers in the development of outcome-based funding systems
that contribute to improved accountability and quality improvement. Her clients
range from community-based organizations focused on strengthening children, families
and communities, to large organizations, such as Head Start, the United Nations,
Campfire Boys and Girls, Packard Foundation and Aid Association for Lutherans.
Jane has also worked with numerous United Ways in Washington, Oregon, Colorado,
Arizona and Florida.
Jane earned her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Oregon in 1982 and served
on the faculty of the Ohio State University and Pacific Lutheran University. Her
publications include The Field Guide to Outcome-Based Evaluation and Outcomes for
Success! Jane was honored in 2001 by the Society for Applied Sociology with their
"Best Sociological Practice" Award.
